Qods Day

Tomorrow is the last Friday of the Islamic Holy Month of Rammadan. Since the 1979 Revolution, the regime has marked it as Qods (Jerusalem) Day to protest against the treatment of the Palestinians.

While it has historically been a day of laregly government organized protests, last year's Qods Day in September saw largescale protests against the regime. They were the largests protests since the protests immediately following the June 12 rigged presidential election. You can see some of the protests in the clip above.

We will have to wait and see what this year will have in store for Iran on Qods Day. The leadership of the Green Movement has been squeezed by the regime to avoid another big protests. Mehdi Karroubi's house has been surronded by security forces for the last few nights and there is great pressure on him. At the same time, the regime will have its thugs out in full force to make sure that protests do not happen again this year.

So keep following developments as they start coming out of Iran.
