Mixed Friday Prayers

An important development that was overlooked by former President Rafsanjani's speech last Friday at prayers:

This was the first Friday Prayers in the history of the Islamic Republic in which men and women prayed side by side. Although this didn't happen inside the prayer hall, these pictures are from right outside. It might not seem like a big deal, but it is a truly revolutionary move. In Iran, men and women are supposed to be segregated during prayers.
