Iranian media is reporting that Rafsanjani will lead this Friday's prayer ceremony on August 14. It has also been posted on Rafsanjani's website which means that it is probably going to happen.
Hopefully he will again speak out against the regime and the opposition will be able to organize protests around the prayer ceremony. It is a bit of a enigma why the regime would allow him to do prayers again given how bad it went last time for them, but it might show how much sway Rafsanjani still has in the regime.
