Most of the reformist bloc of the parliament did not show leaving this part of the building feeling kinda empty. Semi-Official Government Press TV reports that these important did not show up so you know they weren't there:
- As previously noted: Rafsanjani, Mousavi, Khatami, and Karroubi
- Mohsen Rezaei the other conservative candidate in the election
- No one from the family of Khomeini
- Most surprisingly, Conservative Tehran Mayor Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf
Imagine if the equivalent of these figures did not show up for an inauguration of an American president and you will have a sense for the problems the regime faces.
