Emad Afroogh is a conservative Member of Parliament and former supporter of Ahmadinejad. Yet according to the Washington Post, he has spoken out forcibly and elegantly against the show trial:
"Those who organized this trial should be tried"
Afroogh used to be a hardlliner in parliament, but it is clear that this stolen election and this trial has changed his opinion. He has seen the regime for what it reall is, a corrupt military dictatorship. Hopefully, there will be enough people like Afroogh who will join the opposition camp so we can get rid of this regime.
