Khomenei designated the last Friday of Ramadan as Qods Day to protest the Israeli occupation of Palestinian land and the overall oppression of Palestinian people. Yet the people of Iran face even greater oppression at the hand of its own government which kills and imprisons its own innocent citizens.
The Green Movement is promting this 30th anniversary of the creation of International Qods Day on September 19 as a day of protest. We will see if the protests in Iran will be able to held given the government repression, but plan to spend some time on that day to protest the repressive government in Iran.
