[from the Koran: god will vanquish the roots of tyrants]
According to our Imam [Khomeini] Quds Day is a day of destiny for the oppressed nations of the world and a day for the oppressed to rise above their oppressors. “Quds day is a global day, it does not belong to Quds [Jerusalem] alone. It is a day for the oppressed to rise against tyrants.”
I hereby condemn the occupation and assault on the holy city of Quds [Jerusalem] and ask the people of Iran to answer the calls of their late Imam with a glorious presence on Quds Day and to renew their vows with the oppressed people of Palestine and to create a great spiritual barrier against the tyranny and oppression of nations. We must be certain that god will eventually destroy all despots and tyrants.
