For 29 years since his death in 1979, followers of Ayatollah Taleghani have held a ceremony to celebrate him. Taleghani was a leader in the 1979 Revolution and was in the more moderate camp of the clergy. Many in the reform movement respect him for this moderation.
Well the regime has forced Taleghani's family to cancel the celebration that was planned for today. These are the actions of this regime in which they do not even allow the commeration of the death of an Ayatollah.
