In addition to the arrest of Ali Reza Beheshti, a top adviser to Karroubi Morteza Alviri was also arrested.
Alviri is a former member of parliament, Mayor of Tehran, and ambassador to Spain. In addition he was imprisoned by the Shah for his actions before the 1979 Revolution. It seems as if the regime starting to arrest even more of the upper leadership of the reform movement.
