Khomeini's Grandson Forced to Cancel Qadr Ceremony

The grandson of Ayatollah Khomeini, Seyyed Hassan Khomeini, was forced to cancel the Qadr Nights ceremony in the Imam Khomeini shrine. Qadr Nights are the 19th, 21st, and 23rd nights of Ramadan and are important religious nights in Islam.

The reason they were canceled was because Hassan invited Khatami and cleric Nategh Noori as the prayer leaders. This is the first time in 20 years that the celebration has been cancelled and shows how much support this regime has lost with the family of Ayatollah Khomeini. As NIAC puts it,

"For the Islamic Republic of Iran to order that a Ramadan ceremony be canceled would be akin to the Pope canceling Ash Wednesday mass–it has to be a sign of deep troubles."
